I Surprised Myself with These DIY Hacks , We are Halfway Done With The Dining Room Makeover & I’ve Never Been More Scared of a Table In My Life…

Y’all… this past week has been quite a ride. I’ve been working on the dining room chairs and let’s just say… they took much, much , much longer than I anticipated. But holy cow did they turn out soooooo good! I can’t wait to finally show you in the next YouTube video! ( only a week late 😅)

I Surprised Myself With These DIY Hacks

Honestly you just have to see these hacks to believe them ( and I’m showing you in detail how I did them in this weeks new YouTube video! ) but wow, I am SHOCKED. I had some pretty crazy ( and sketchy if I’m honest) ideas for restoring my damaged and painted cane dining chairs but y’alllllllllllll… these hacks worked EVEN BETTER THAN I EVER IMAGINED. Like it’s insane how big of an improvement I was able to make with some crafty ideas and a little faux painting magic. I think you are gonna be just as surprised as I am! So make sure to check them out on the channel!

We Are Halfway Finished With The Dining Room Makeover

Finishing the dining chairs means that we are just about halfway through the dining room makeover! We still have one large project and then lots of smaller ones to pull together the final details but every time I turn the corner of this room in our home it stops me in my tracks. It never stops amazing me how big of an impact we can make in our homes with just some elbow grease. 🥹

I’ve Never Been More Scared Of A Table In My Life…

You might be wondering what the last “big” project in this space is… and it’s the dining table. I am going to try to completely refinish our current dining table and make it look like an old antique farm table mixed with a little pottery barn polish. Will I be able to pull it off? I have no idea. And I am TERRIFIED to mess this thing up. Also I am planning to do another faux painting technique on it, and a piece of my brain keeps telling me I’m gonna ruin this table. But I just keep reminding myself I don’t like the finish it has now and there is a very very large chance I will love it so much more if I get the guts to make it over. So wish me luck on probably the scarriest project I have done to date ( except for my staircase… now THAT was scary!!)

That’s all I got this week! This dining room has been so fun but it’s kicking my booty and I am sooooo behind schedule. So I need to get back to work but I love you and I’ll talk to you soon!
