Is Thrive Market worth it? I feel like every time I even mention Thrive Market, I get this question.

And I’m going to tell you what I’ve told everyone else who has ever asked me.. I don’t think it’s for everyone. But also… I really love it, and I think depending on your lifestyle and household, you may just love it too. 

What Is Thrive Market?

Just in case you’ve never heard of Thrive Market, or aren’t entirely sure what it is, lemme explain the simplest way I can. Think of it as an online Costco. But instead of getting amazing deals on bulk items, you are getting amazing deals on healthier brands and pantry staples.

You pay a yearly membership in order to have access to shop the deals and brands all year long. ( I literally save my membership fee in every single order I make… for real! )

Everything on their website is held to higher quality standards. Think GMO free options, organic options , gluten free, vegan , no dyes etc. In fact , don’t quote me on this but I am pretty sure that the last I heard, that Thrive Market has actually banned over 1,000 ingredients that are usually allowed in our food in the grocery store. So yeah… they take clean ingredients pretty seriously. 

Who Is Thrive Market For?

Now, as I said before, as much as I personally love Thrive Market, I DON’T think it is for everyone. Or at least I don’t think that everyone will find the same love and value in it. And being that it IS an annual membership that you have to pay for, I do think that you need to LOVE it.  

Who It’s NOT For;

People looking for THE CHEAPEST groceries… period. 

While Thrive Market has some of the best prices on clean brands and pantry staples, ( and even has some clean brands that you cannot find in stores!) , this doesn’t mean that you are going to find organic crackers cheaper than the generic, always on sale , filled with artificial ingredients, store brand crackers. 

So if you are someone looking for the lowest price… period , and the brand or the ingredients aren’t really a concern, then Thrive Market probably isn’t for you. 

People looking for a meal delivery service. 

Even though Thrive Market DOES deliver straight to your door ( and you can even automatically schedule recurring deliveries!) , it is not a meal delivery service , it’s an online grocery store. So if you are looking for something where you don’t have to cook? This isn’t quite what you are looking for. 

People who want a one stop shop.

Thrive Market is best for pantry staples, snacks and ingredients. While they do offer meat and frozen food and all kinds of other options,  I find that their pricing , shipping and the overall experience of purchasing anything frozen is just not that great. ( I know! I said it! ) 

Thrive Market really thrives ( yes, pun intended lol) with dry , pantry staples and grab and go snacks. So if you are someone who demands a one stop shop… Thrive Market probably isn’t going to be your favorite thing.  

So Who Is Thrive Market For?

Okay so if you are still reading, I’m assuming that none of the above was a deal breaker for you. Which means you are probably exactly the type of person who will really love Thrive Market. 

You Will Love Thrive Market If;

You want more clean ingredient options for your favorite household snacks than you can ever find in stores. 

You want to stock up on your favorite clean brands without paying the jacked up price of the specialty grocery stores that carry them ( hint hint rhymes with “ Smole Moods” ) 

You are busy and would love to have healthy snacks and pantry staples auto delivered to your door on a schedule. 

In case I haven’t made it clear yet… I personally love Thrive Market. 

I love being able to find more options and flavors of my favorite clean brands and snacks for the best prices. I love being able to stock up on clean household staples like laundry detergent and all purpose cleaner. I love being able to easily sort and search options by “diet type”. ( gluten free, dairy free , organic , vegan , etc )

I place a big order multiple times a year to stock up on clean snacks and household staples, and what I love the most is that I always feel like I get a lot for my money.
